This walking/biking tour of Metamora, Illinois, highlights Metamora’s rich history. The tour is approximately 2 and a half miles and stays within the village limits.

The tour is self-paced, which means it is left to the walker/biker to read each slide without audio.

You can stop and pause or move ahead at your own leisure.

    • Local parks – Lincoln-Douglas Park, Black Partridge Park, Mennonite Heritage Center, Illinois Mennonite Historical Society, Heritage Center, Original Amish Mennonite Church, Hickory Point Cemetery
    • Churches, & cemeteries – St. Mary’s Orphanage, St. Mary’s Cemetery, Oakwood Cemetery, St. Raphael’s Church, The Grotto of the Blessed Virgin Mary, New Parish Center, St. Mary of Lourdes Cemetery
