Signs lined the streets in support of Metamora Olympic swimmer Anna Peplowski in July and August of 2024.
Peplowski, a 2021 graduate of Metamora Township High School, won the silver medal for her role in the 4×200 women’s freestyle relay.
The town welcomed her home on Friday, Aug. 16, 2024, with a caravan through Germantown Hills and Metamora, culminating in a celebration at Metamora Township High School with family, coaches, friends, and community support.
